St. Gregory’s University is a highly selective, private, coeducational, residential liberal arts college affiliated with the Benedictine traditions of the Catholic Church. Founded in 1875, by the Benedictine monks who came to this country as missionaries to work with the Indian population of what was then Indian Territory. It was originally chartered as The Catholic University of Oklahoma in 1916 and today it continues to be the only Catholic University in the state. Read more
