The Department of Life Science and Kinesiology develops professionals in areas related to human movement, wellness, sport and leisure. The disciplines represented in the department seek to develop balance in a student’s educational experience through the integration of the cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains of learning.
Students pursuing academic programs in Biomedical Sciences are prepared to further their education in medical school or in careers in the health industry, while Biology students pursue paths in wildlife management and environmental sciences.
The Kinesiology program seeks to provide a quality learning environment for students by developing professionals in areas related to Exercise and Sport Science. These programs are perfect for individuals who are interested in physical therapy, athletic training, cardiac rehabilitation or sports medicine. Meanwhile, our Fitness and Health Promotion programs are aimed at students who want to become personal trainers, coaches or work in the wellness industry.
