This major is for those interested in Physical Therapy, Athletic Training, Cardiac Rehabilitation, graduate programs in the exercise sciences or Sports Medicine.
Personalized areas could include education, psychology, coaching and business. The curriculum is based on the standards set by the American College of Sports Medicine for personal training certifications.

Examples of courses you’ll have as an Exercise Science major include Foundations of Health & Sport Sciences, Principles of Biology, Basic Care and Prevention of Injuries, Motor Learning and Development, Movement Anatomy, Health Behaviors, Psychology of Sport and Exercise, Management of Sport, Fitness & Leisure Programs, Exercise Physiology and Exercise Testing and Prescription.
The Kinesiology program has a chapter of Phi Epsilon Kappa, the oldest honor fraternity related to the discipline of Kinesiology.
You can expect small class sizes and a great deal of interaction with your faculty. You can expect laboratories to be taught by your instructors, not by graduate teaching assistants. You can expect your faculty to be available as needed.
