St. Gregory’s University, through Partners in Learning, offers college-age students with specific learning differences the opportunity to succeed and grow in all facets of life.
Partners in Learning offers academic support through specialized, individually designed services for students with learning differences who show motivation and potential for success in today’s competitive academic environment. The program is open to incoming freshmen as well as transfer students.
Partners in Learning offers social/emotional support as students transition from high school and home to become independent, self-advocates in college and beyond. Students are encouraged to be self-directed and self-disciplined yet access the adaptive services that have been individualized for them.
To be considered for admission to the Partners in Learning Program, students must:
• be 18 or older
• have completed high school or obtained a GED
• demonstrate average to above average intelligence as measured by a Wechsler intelligence scale
or equivalent test
• have a specific learning disability as a primary disability (including ADD and ADHD)
• provide diagnostic information from previous evaluations
• complete the application packet which includes an application for admission to Partners in Learning,
and information forms for parent(s), student, and prior school(s).
