Ashley Hurney Named iON Oklahoma 30/30 Next Gen Award Winner
St. Gregory’s alum Ashley Hurney was named an iON Oklahoma 30/30 Next Gen award winner by MTM Recognition at an awards event in Oklahoma City in October.
Oklahoma ION Magazine’s 30/30 Next Gen recognizes the next generation of innovative, creative-thinking and inspiring individuals who push the boundaries beyond their years in arts, entertainment, business, media, sports, technology and more.
A Business Analyst in MTM’s IT department, Hurney was also awarded MTM’s Employee of the Year award for 2012.After graduating from St. Gregory’s, she began her career with MTM as an intern in Marketing and Communications.
Hurney excelled not only in academics at St. Gregory’s, but also in volleyball, and she has since shared her athletic skills and passion with others, including Special Olympics Oklahoma, where she volunteers her time as a coach.
“My generation is one that lives and works with a purpose,” Hurney said. “We’re convicted to do meaningful, fulfilling work. I am fortunate to work for a company whose purpose is to provide meaningful, memorable award experiences and make a positive impact in others’ lives. I am honored to have been selected for this award and very grateful for the opportunities MTM Recognition has given me.”
Hurney, a former SGU stand-out student and volleyball player, was also named MTM’s 2012 Employee of the Year.
