St. Gregory’s one of 8 Oklahoma campuses to earn an Excellence certification as a Certified Healthy Campus
St. Gregory’s University officials received an Excellence certification as a Certified Healthy Campus at the “Shape Your Future” banquet, which was held Thursday in Norman. The University is one of only eight Oklahoma college and university campuses to receive the excellence rating.
This is the second year in a row that the St. Gregory’s campus has received recognition from the Certified Healthy Oklahoma program.
“We work to encourage healthy choice and lifestyles for our students and staff, and are pleased to have received this certification” said St. Gregory’s University President Greg Main. “We are creating not only a healthier campus for our students, faculty and staff, but also a healthier Oklahoma.”
St. Gregory’s also received Merit certification as a Certified Healthy Business, which is one-step higher than the Basic certification received in 2012. The University is one of only a few colleges and universities to be certified in both campus and business.
The Oklahoma Certified Healthy Campus Program and Oklahoma Certified Healthy Business Program are both programs of the Oklahoma Turning Point Council. The Council recognizes college campuses that make a positive impact on the health of their employees and students, as well as businesses that provide health and wellness opportunities.
