St. Gregory’s Pastoral Theology graduate degree approved by Higher Learning Commission
Building upon the successful theology undergraduate programs already in place at St. Gregory’s, a new Master of Arts in Pastoral Theology was recently approved by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). The new graduate program is enrolling students now for classes to begin this fall.
“Our undergraduate theology and pastoral ministry majors are encouraged to continue their graduate studies beyond their bachelor’s degrees,” D. Gregory Main, president of St. Gregory’s, said. “Starting up a graduate degree in pastoral theology made perfect sense, and will now allow those interested students the opportunity to obtain a master’s degree right here at St. Gregory’s.”
The MA in Pastoral Theology uniquely unites a rigorous intellectual formation with meaningful pastoral instruction. Students who complete this program will learn the truths of the faith and will aid in the cultivation of the natural foundation that enables these truths to take root to be lived out in meaningful and transformative ways.
