St. Gregory’s theatre presents Bamboozled!
The Department of Visual and Performing Arts at St. Gregory’s University will debut their latest production, Bamboozled! by Michael Brill, on Thursday, November 20 at 8 p.m. at the Sarkeys Performing Arts Center.
“Bamboozled! is a fast-paced comedy inspired by Italian commedia from the Renaissance era,” said Dr. David Coley, director of St. Gregory’s Theatre Department. “Familiar characters scheme and trick each other to get ahead and find true love. Mistaken identities, slapstick humor, and wordplay abound.”
Bamboozled! is part of the Theatre for Young Adults Series and has something to offer audiences ages 10 and up. This performance promises to have audiences laughing throughout the entire show.
“This is a play filled with both verbal and non-verbal comedy throughout. The part I’m looking forward to most is the wedding,” said St. Gregory’s senior Esther De La Cruz, who is playing the role of Truffaldino in the show. “It’s perfect if you’re looking for some comical relief!”
Additional performances will take place on November 21 and 22 at 8 p.m. and November 23 at 3 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for students and $5 for children and can be purchased at the box office located in the theatre lobby one hour prior to each performance, or online by clicking here.
